Information for Artists

This year we have decided to support a new charity – The Yorkshire Children’s Charity.  While the format of our much-loved biennial, affordable Art Show remains the same, we feel it is time to support a Yorkshire-based charity where we know every penny raised will be spent locally.

It offers:

• A wonderful opportunity to show your work to a large audience of dedicated art buyers
• Gain exposure from our marketing and press
• Commission on sales is 35% with all of the money raised going to

• Artists make 65% of the sales price
• Price range £40-£5000
• 6 original artworks per artist hung or displayed
• Artists can also offer mounted originals in their own browser

How it works?

1.Selection-

Please send images/examples of your work or a link to your website to:

artists@thebigartshow.co.uk

If approved by the committee, you will be invited to register online through the website.

2. Online Registration (only if approved)

Deadline for registrations is: 12 noon on Wednesday 26th July 2025

Registration costs £30 and is non-refundable

3. Submit Titles and Prices

You will be sent a link to submit your titles and prices by September 1st

What we accept:

The exhibition shows a curated mixture of affordable, contemporary, oroiginal art including:

• Oils
• Watercolours
• Mixed Media
• Original Prints
• Limited Edition Prints (Not Giclee)
• Drawings
• Sculpture
• Ceramics
• Photography

1. Maximum 6 hung or ‘displayed’ pieces, 20 browser pieces.
2. Maximum size for framed and cord strung  works is 100cm x 100cm (unless by prior agreement).
3. No giclee prints accepted.

Mystery Postcards

Mystery postcards are postcard sized original paintings and photographs that are very generously donated and sold for £40 each. Artists names are only written on the back of the works and kept a closely guarded secret. The artist’s identity is only revealed after purchase. 100% of the proceeds go to the charity.

If you are exhibiting and would be prepared to kindly donate a mystery postcard please indicate this on the Artist’s Registration form.
